Today we kicked off the celebration part 1 of Karyn’s big birthday! It is hard to believe that our little Karebear will be 1 in a few short days. This past year went by so quickly.
We took little Miss Karyn to Sharkarosa Wildlife Ranch. It was so much fun and everyone had such a great time. Here we go with some pictures of our adventure….
We started the day off by flipping Karyn around in her car seat….she loves to be in the car now.

First stop was to check out the monkeys, they had several different kinds and a lot of them are on the endangered species list. This is a White Faced Capuchin Monkey.

Next we went to check out the baby kangaroo, her name is Pickle and she was so sweet.

The owners had several dogs that are on the farm and this one was Katie Lynn’s favorite. As soon as the dog came out she was all about petting and loving on the big doggie and I mean BIG……very sweet dog. He was a little taller then Katie Lynn.

This next picture is a snap shot of my favorite part of the day. This is Milo the Kinkajou. He loves to climb around and he decided to climb up in between Karyn and I. Karyn loved him!! He was up in her arms and she gave him a big hug and was all smiles.

We then took a stroll over to check out the Kangaroos. It was hot out and it was only 11am….98 degrees just about. All the kangaroos were hanging in the shade, couldn’t blame them.

Here at the farm they have a fun little train ride for all the kiddos to ride. We were not sure if Katie Lynn would ride or not but we asked her and she said YES! She loved it and was all smiles till she bummed her lip the last minute. I went ahead and rode with Karyn so she wouldn’t miss out on any fun.

After the train ride we headed over to check out the camels and llamas. It was very cool to see all the animals up close and even get to pet them. The girls loved it and we loved seeing this through their eyes.

The animals loved Karyn. She just took it all in.

Daddy and Karyn checking things out.

We then headed back over to the monkeys and walked around to the other side to check out the rest of the monkeys.
The girls decided they wanted to tell the monkeys a story. Here is Karyn talking away…

then Katie Lynn jumps in to tell her story too.

Here is the lemur monkey the girls were talking to.

Then we walked over to see the big cage…..it was hot and the monkeys were not doing to much but the girls loved it.

Now we are on to the next part of the adventure. There is a train that takes you around the farm to see more wildlife. There are buckets on the side of the train for the animals to come up and eat. The animals come right up to the train and you can pet them. Wow, it was so cool.
Here we are headed out to the first stop….The Clydesdales. These horses were huge and such graceful animals.

The horses came right up to the side of the train.

Then we headed to a mixture of animals…..Here is Spot the Zebra. He is very unique and has stripes around his whole body. He looked like he was right out of a magazine shoot. The white and black lines were so crisp and defined.

Here is a group…pot belly pig, zebras, llamas and deer.

Katie Lynn knew what this was…..A Reindeer.

Someone was running out of energy…

The last stop on the train was the camels.

Once we got back to the stage area they brought out a few more animals to share. Here is the black bear.

and to end the day, here we all are.

We all had so much fun and the girls loved seeing all the animals up close.
